GREYSTONES CONTINUES LINKS WITH ARDS BOROUGH COUNCIL

Members of Greystones Town Council and Wicklow County Council will continue their relationship with Ards Borough Council by attending the Joint Annual Conference in Portaferry Co Down over the weekend.

Cllr George Jones who first put in place this partnership said ” I am delighted that we have made so much progress over the years and I feel Greystones has always played its part in improving the relationships with our Unionist colleagues,”

The arrangement was assisted in the start by Rev Jim Carson and was centred on the annual La Touche Legacy October Conference which in turn lead to a similar seminar in Co Down, which takes place over this weekend.

Cllr Jones said “I am looking forward to another positive experience with our colleagues in Ards and will again welcome a return visit for the 2010 October La Touche Legacy Conference to be held on Oct 1, 2 & 3”. The new La Touche Legacy website to be launched later this month will have a link to the Ards Borough Council website Cllr Jones confirmed.
