Fine Gael Councillor George Jones has welcomed the new primary care unit in Newtownmountkennedy. Cllr Jones said unit will also serve the Kilcoole area.
While the HSE is attacked for lots of poor services this is an area that they should be congratulated on.
Over the past number of years they have worked on various units and got them up and running such as Arklow and it is now the turn of the northern part of the county. Cllr Jones said it had been confirmed by a senior official with the HSE that they hoped to continue to make progress in North Wicklow.

The new premises in Newtown will be the centre point of these improved services and Cllr Jones wished the unit every success as it served the Newtown -Kilcoole communities.

Cllr Jones again said he hoped all councillors would support the proposal for a Greystones Primary Care Centre in the Harbour & North Beach Development at the Council meeting on Sept 6th.
