CONCERNS EXPRESSED OVER WORKS AT CROWE ABBEY AND HILLSIDE

At the local area meeting on Monday for the Greystones Area Cllr George Jones expressed concerns at the ongoing works at Crowe Abbey and at Hillside. In particular while welcoming the improvements to the road at Crowe Abbey Greystones but was very concerned that damage had been done to Gold Club and it appears the Council had no agreement in place with Club on works within their lands.

Cllr Jones also expressed his displeasure at the creation of so many ramps at both locations, when we ask for a ramp in a Housing estate or Kilcoole we are told “there is no money” but ramps have appeared here like “confetti at a wedding”. Instead of helping safety on the roads the very many ramps on the road leading from Tesco I feel will lead to accidents as cars drive in the centre of the road to avoid these ramps.

Cllr Jones asked for a report to be provided to the Area Councillors on who had sanctioned this expenditure.
